Will Smith Still King of BO Over Fourth of July
With a box office take of $107.3 million since opening last Tuesday, Will Smith has scored yet another milestone as ‘Hancock’ becomes his eighth movie to open at No. 1 and his fifth movie to debut at No. 1 over the Fourth of July.
“Will Smith, Mom, apple pie and the Fourth of July. It doesn’t get any better,” Rory Bruer, head of distribution for Sony, told the Associated Press. “People just so relate to him and the characters that he plays. They totally embraced it as something different, something fresh.”
