America Ferrera and her hit show ‘Ugly Betty’ were tops at this year’s ALMA Awards last night in Los Angeles. The show and its cast rated four gongs for best achievements of Latinos in the entertainment industry.
America won the award for Outstanding Actress in a TV Series, while her on-screen sister, Ana Ortiz, scooped the gong for Outstanding Actress in a Supporting Role.

“Maid in Manhattan”, the hit romantic comedy that starred Jennifer Lopez maybe be coming to TV as a series. In one of her better roles, Jen played a single mom from the Bronx who works as a maid at a posh New York hotel and catches the eye of a politician when he mistakes her for a wealthy socialite.
It’s too bad the series won’t be starring Jennifer – but it would be a good start if it did.

Charlie Sheen has been ID’d as the highest paid TV actor in Tinseltown making a ridiculous $825,000 per episode of his half hour comedy “Two and a Half Men.” That’s more than Keifer Sutherland in ’24′, or even CSI star and exec producer William Petersen who has to make do with $600,000 an episode.
So for a 22-minute show, Charlie makes like $37,500 PER MINUTE which is about what most Americans make in a year…no wonder Denise Richards is always wanting mo’ money out of this guy!

‘Hairspray’ star Nikki Blonsky and her father were arrested after a bizarre brawl with ‘America’s Top Model’ contestant Bianca Golden at a Caribbean island airport on Wednesday.
All three were taken into custody by police in the Turks and Caicos Islands – after a fight over seats in the departure lounge. The dust up was apparently so violent Nikki had to wear a neck brace to her court hearing, her father is sitting in jail, and Bianca’s mom is undergoing treatment at a Miami hospital.

Fans of Mario Lopez will now be able to look lovingly on his dimples five days a week for the next few years – the Latin hunk has been named as the new solo host for Extra, taking over for Mark McGrath who’s been kicked to the curb.
The former “Saved By The Bell” and “Dancing with the Stars” star debuts his daily gossip gig on September 15 when the show launches its 15th season. Well, sure he’s hot to look at, but isn’t this a career breaker?

R&B heart throb Chris Brown is teaming up with Survivor and Apprentice producer Mark Burnett to create a new dance competition TV show. Chris’ show won’t be paso doblo mamba rumba samba tango cha cha cha – it’ll be hip-hop and street dance.
“Dancing is more than just a way of moving, it’s a different expression of music,” Chris said. “That’s what I want to focus on with this show.”

The “famous for being friends with Paris Hilton” chick and girlfriend of Reggie Bush is reportedly in talks with network executives to appear on the talent contest, where she’ll have an opportunity to shake her big butt and 40″ hips hoping to win the crown as America’s favorite celebrity dancer.

Hollywood’s biggest ego Katherine Heigl announced last month that she wasn’t worthy of an Emmy nod because of the craptastic scripts given to her by Grey’s Anatomy writers last season. Well, the stupid cow is about to learn – you NEVER piss off a writer!
Vowing revenge, they are planning something dastardly to happen to her character Izzy – a brain tumor! (Spoiler alert, Schmoiler alert) Yes, A Brain Tumor! Ha Ha! Just put her in a nice looong coma for like 13 episodes. God, we can only hope…

Grissom gone?? According to a new report, this season’s 10th episode will be the last for William Peterson helming the CSI crew in Las Vegas, at least as a full-time series regular.
“Billy is leaving,” confirms the show’s executive producer, Carol Mendelsohn to the Ausiello Files at EW. “But he will remain throughout the run of the series an executive producer. And he will, whenever CBS asks, come back. I don’t think you’ve seen the last of Gil Grissom.”

During an episode of MTV Cribs, Bow Wow was showing off his pad in Miami along with a bunch of his cars in the driveway. But a car website got their panties in a bunch when the noticed the 21-year-old rapper’s pimped out rides – a Bentley, a Lambo, and a Cadillac Escalade with huge ‘shoes’ – were actually the property of a local luxury car rental company.
