She explains to Extra: “It’s coming to a point where I love this show so much, but I’m ready to kind of walk away. I’ve been doing it for five years now. Five years on TV is a really, really long time.”

Because five years at the same job is like, really, really long for a 22-year-old. After all, she’s doing a scripted TV gig where all you do is air kiss and make up with Heidi (or not) and ramble on vacuously about fashion!

But can you imagine making $36 million (GBP11.9 million) a year for watching someone else give their all on live TV?

Tina Fey: I Won’t Play Palin If She’s VeeP

fey and palin30 Rock star Tina Fey has been spoofing Alaska Governor and Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live for a couple of weeks now but she says she’ll put an end to it should McCain/Palin win the election in November.

Fey tells TV Guide: “Election time is always good for [SNL] and this is a bonkers election. And that lady is a media star. She is a fascinating person, she’s very likeable. She’s fun to play, and the two bits with Amy Poehler (as Hillary Clinton), that was super fun.”

Matt Roloff Takes Little People Show to Big World in Iraq

roloffMatt Roloff of TLC’s “Little People, Big World,” took a recent trip to Iraq to film a special episode about a family that has three children with dwarfism. Roloff learned about the Iraqi family from a pal in the military who has a child who is a little person. The TV star took a doctor with him to help with an issue the family had.

“It was life-changing,” Roloff said of the trip. “Unbelievably, life-changing. I’ve always been a proud American. I went over being very much disconnected from the whole conflict. It’s way different from the way the media is always portraying it. It was a very, very eye-opening experience. Very rewarding.”

But co-host Joy Behar – who’s motto is “attack all guests” – wasn’t buying what she was selling. Emmy Awards Are the Biggest Loser

ryan-seacrestFive reality-show hosts opened the lamest Emmy Awards show in history Sunday night but it wasn’t so bad after all. As it turns out – there was no TV viewing audience tuned in to watch the live trainwreck.

On his radio show Monday, Ryan Seacrest explained why their un-scripted, ad-libbed, opening monologue was lame: “For a while, we didn’t have anything until we came up with the fact that our ’something’ was ‘nothing.’ . . . And once finally I realized that we had nothing and that ‘nothing’ was being honest, and that was real . . . we actually, we were good. . . . I say we were ‘good’ not in terms of ‘I thought we were great,’ I’m just saying we were done, we did it, we’re good, we’re out. We were good, we’re good — right?”
