Whatever Jessica Simpson was selling - these country music fans weren’t buying it. The blonde airhead was roundly boo’d during her first performance since announcing she was returning to her “first love” - country music - something even diehard fans of the reality TV show star hadn’t heard before.
At Saturday night’s Country Thunder Festival in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, the crowd greeted Simpson with a mixture of boos and cheers. She came on stage thinking she “looked” country - by wearing short Daisy Duke shorts and cowboy boots - then sang a non-country song - Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots are Made for Walking.” Things went downhill after that.

R&B Prince Chris Brown says he’s going to always keep the media guessing about his love life with Rihanna. He tells Wenn, “Nobody wants to focus on what’s positive, they want to know about my personal life. Every interview I do, they’re like, ‘So, how are you and such and such doing?’ And I’m like, I don’t know you, why you all in my business? So that’s my take on it personally.”
That’s right - he’s talking about the Barbadian princess!

Christopher Ciccone’s new book, Life With My Sister Madonna, comes out on Tuesday, July 15, and is going to sting the superstar with a lot of the revelations. In it, Ciccone, who is gay, says Guy Ritchie is a raging homophobe and Madonna treated her interior designer brother just like a hired hand and not like a close family member.
In their final spat, through exchanged emails, Madonna fires Christopher and he write to her: “I gave up my life to help make you the evil queen you are today. Fifteen years listening to your bitching, egotistical rantings, mediocre talent and a lack of taste that would stun the ages.”

Kanye West is slamming back at reports that it’s been suggested he attend anger management classes by blowing up posting an angry a thoughtful message on his website saying, “If anything, I need anger enhancement! LOL!!”
According to The Sun, a source said, “Kanye’s management team came up with the idea. His mood swings were beginning to play a part in his commercial enterprises as people felt he was miserable all the time. The rapper is in line for deals with two big firms but both have started asking how easy he would be to work with.”

Welsh star Christian Bale is thrilling Bat fans with his proclamation that he will walk away from the comic book movie franchise if producers try to bring in Robin, the caped crusader’s annoying, naive, smarmy, unnecessary sidekick from the old TV show.
Bale took on the role of the legendary action hero in 2005’s Batman Begins and will be seen again in The Dark Knight, which is due for release in three weeks. He’s also rumored to be ready to sign on to do a third movie.

Kanye West blew a gasket and vented on his blog, TYPING IN ALL CAPS TO SHOW HOW REALLY REALLY PISSED HE IS, cuz people are criticizing his performance at Bonnaroo. Kanye refused to perform at dusk (”I HAVE A LIGHT SHOW DUMB ASS”) and made festivalgoers wait hours until his extensive set was erected on the stage. As a result, he didn’t perform until after 4 a.m.

Eminem is coming out of retirement some four years after announcing he was done with writing, recording and touring. The 35-year-old rapper has kept a low profile and battled health problems since releasing the Encore album in 2004.
But now Em has begun working on new material. ‘Everything is good,’ he says. ‘I’m just in the studio working on songs and stuff like that.’

Janet Jackson is in battle of words with record label Def Jam with the singer revealing that all promotion of her latest album ‘Discipline’ has ceased. During a teleconference with the SOHH website on June 2, Janet revealed their was a problem with the release date for her next single release. She and Def Jam “haven’t seen eye-to-eye” on her album since its first single, Feedback.
“They’ve basically stopped all promotion,” Jackson says. “I’ve tried to think of a way to say this, but it’s best to be honest. I doubt there’ll be another single.”
