Kanye West blew a gasket and vented on his blog, TYPING IN ALL CAPS TO SHOW HOW REALLY REALLY PISSED HE IS, cuz people are criticizing his performance at Bonnaroo. Kanye refused to perform at dusk (”I HAVE A LIGHT SHOW DUMB ASS”) and made festivalgoers wait hours until his extensive set was erected on the stage. As a result, he didn’t perform until after 4 a.m.
He blames Bonnaroo concert organizers - and Pearl Jam - for the fiasco. He’s an excerpt of his vent from his blog:
Eminem is coming out of retirement some four years after announcing he was done with writing, recording and touring. The 35-year-old rapper has kept a low profile and battled health problems since releasing the Encore album in 2004. 
Janet Jackson is in battle of words with record label Def Jam with the singer revealing that all promotion of her latest album ‘Discipline’ has ceased. During a teleconference with the SOHH website on June 2, Janet revealed their was a problem with the release date for her next single release. She and Def Jam “haven’t seen eye-to-eye” on her album since its first single, Feedback.
Alice Cooper is Back! Not the golfer or the DJ, but the shock rocker. On his radio show Nights With Alice Cooper, he said of his next album: “It is a dark and menacing album for dark and menacing times.”
Lil Wayne’s album Tha Carter Iii has been leaked onto the internet just days before it is due to be released - by a mixtape DJ looking for revenge.Last week, Wayne dissed the mixtape fraternity during an interview with Foundation magazine, claiming he no longer supported the world that he made his name in.
Country superstar Shania Twain’s marriage is over and she’s singing When will I wake up? Why did we break up? When will we make up? … for real this time. But after a 14-year marriage, you better believe Shania’s gonna get a whole album out of this misery. Especially if hubby collaborates with her on the songs!
Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler is back in rehab. The 60-year-old frontman and father of Liv Tyler checked himself into a clinic of the Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena, California. 
Kenny Chesney scored Entertainer of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards for the 4th time Sunday but he’s not happy about it. Chesney is whining that the Academy allowed fans to vote online to determine the top honors - apparently he prefers it be done the good ol’ boys way - by secret ballot from industry insiders only.
Janet Jackson is heading for the road and going to tour again for the first time in 7 years. And she says she’s looking forward to it. “I love all of that, all of that pressure, I really do,” Jackson said as she gears up for her ‘Rock With U’ North American tour to kick off in September.
Alicia Keys’s interview in Blender mag caused some controversy and she is clarifying some of the comments she made, specificially when she said that “Gangsta rap was a ploy to convince black people to kill each other. ‘Gangsta rap’ didn’t exist.” She saying now that she didn’t mean to imply the feds were behind the creation of the music genre.
