Katie Holmes to Star in New Horror Movie

Katie Holmes will show off her dark side. According to Variety, the 30-year-old actress has signed on to star in Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, a fright flick for Miramax Films.
The adrenaline-pumping flick is based on a TV movie that aired on ABC back in 1973 – notable for being one of the only two terrifying TV movies ever made; the other is The Dark Night of the Scarecrow – and centers on a young girl who moves in with her dad and his girlfriend, only to discover that the house is haunted by demonic creatures.
