LA Galaxy fans bought season tickets hoping to see David Beckham play but the much-injured immortal has managed only a few minutes of play on a sprained left ankle. Frustrated fans have taken to holding up signs at Galaxy matches smacking the benchwarmer with messages such as: “Welcome to America. Where people like you get paid to do nothing.”
