According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor Russell Crowe is in talks for the lead role in Paul Haggis’ The Next Three Days, the writer/director’s follow-up to 2007’s In the Valley of Elah.
In the new film, a remake of the French thriller Pour Elle, Russell will reportedly star as a husband who must help his wife after she’s thrown in jail for a murder she claims innocence over.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Oscar winner Jamie Foxx has joined the team of the romantic comedy, being directed by Garry Marshall. Queen Latifah and 17-year-old Aliens in the Attic actor Carter Jenkins also recently jumped on board.

Oscar-nominated actor Jude Law will become a father for the fourth time this fall, his representative said on Wednesday, but the mother’s identity has not been revealed.
His publicist said that “following a relationship last year, the actor has been advised that he is to be the father of a child due in the fall of this year,” adding that “Mr. Law is no longer in a relationship with the individual concerned, but he intends to be a fully supportive part of the child’s life. This is an entirely private matter and no other statements will be made.”
