Jennifer Lopez and her husband, Marc Anthony, are suing the ‘National Enquirer’ after it claimed they were involved in a drug scandal, their European lawyer has announced.

Their Belfast lawyer, Paul Tweed, says the pair is suing the tabloid through the European courts seeking “a six-figure settlement” from the paper and its parent company American Media Inc. The suit also seeks an apology and retraction for an article which featured in different versions of the tabloid’s American and international editions.

Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst have attended the world premiere of Spider-Man 3 in Tokyo, Japan.

Dunst and Maguire waved to hundred of Spidey fans as they walked up the red carpet.

The movie, which is rumoured to be the last in the superhero series, introduces two new nemeses for Spider-Man, Sandman and Venom.

In the third movie, Peter Parker discovers a mysterious black suit which boosts his super-abilities but fills him with revenge.

R&B superstar Beyonce Knowles is switching to boyfriend Jay-Z’s Def Jam record label, so the rap mogul can “oversee” her career – according to reports.
The songstress’ contract with Sony’s Columbia label is due to expire after her two next albums, after which insiders say Beyonce will sign to Island Def Jam to work with the rapper, real name Shawn Carter.
“(Carter) has been trying to get her to Def Jam for a while. He would love to oversee her career - he kind of does anyway,” a source told PageSix.

Gillian Anderson claims she appeared in the popular series ‘The X-Files’ because of her contract and not because she really wanted to be there.

Gillian, who played Special Agent Scully in the show, told Stella magazine: “I couldn’t get out of it. I didn’t have a choice. I had to sign a contract for 5 1/2 years before I even went to my first audition - when I didn’t know if I’d got the part.”

The ‘X-Men’ actress says Brad and Angelina have “forgotten” about America’s kids. But Halle hasn’t, saying she would consider adopting another child following her adoption of ex-husband Eric Benet’s daughter India.
“I hope I have children one day - it’s not too late. I am looking forward to that,” Halle says.

Rap star Snoop Dogg has avoided going to jail on gun and drugs charges in a Californian court.
Snoop who pleaded no contest to the charges, was given five years probation and 800 hours of community service.
The 35-year-old, whose real name is Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr, must not have any gang members in his entourage, Superior Court Judge Terry Smerling also ruled.

King of Pop Michael Jackson has hooked up with rap king 50 Cent to collaborate on a track for his comeback album, according to reports.
The track, called ‘Trial of the Century’, will look back at Jacko’s legal and personal problems from the last few years, including his 2005 child molestation trial.
Other stars working on Jackson’s comeback album are said to include Akon, Will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas and Chris Brown.
